Aetna Healthcare announced in December 2025 that they will no longer offer ACA Marketplace options for individual healthcare in Florida, Ohio, Illinois, Texas and Georgia.  They also added that they will be reducing some of their Medicare Advantage Plans as well.

This means anyone that previously had Aetna Healthcare though the ACA Marketplace will have to find another carrier.  This must be done in the Open Enrollment Period from November 2025 to January 15, 2026.  It also means that those on Medicare Advantage Plans may have to find another plan that is offered in the states where they reduced policies.  Annual Enrollment Periods start January 1 and runs through March 31, 2026 allowing you to make one change to another plan/carrier of your Medicare Advantage plan or switch back to Original Medicare.

CVS Corporation cited their inability to make the ACA Marketplace to work financially for the company with the objective to focus on other business areas in 2026 and beyond.  The company says that a viable alternative for those affected on the ACA Marketplace would be Florida Blue / Blue Cross Blue Shield.  If you live in Florida with certain counties Oscar Health can also be a viable option.
