Broker vs. Agent
A Broker writes for multiple insurance carriers, is not employed or affiliated with any one company, instead are contracted to write policies with the company. An Agent writes sometimes for multiple carriers inside a broker firm or they write for one specific company. An Agent represents the company’s best interest while the Broker represents the interest of the client.
