The day the paranormal became an obsession for me was on Oct 31, 1986. My grandfather picked me up from school and we went to the Green Lady Cemetery in Burlington, CT; before he took me home to get ready for Halloween. There, I experienced my first ghost. I saw the “Green Lady”. My grandfather denied seeing anything, time felt like it stood still but really it was only a few seconds. I tried talking to anyone that would listen, only to be told it was all my imagination. In 1996 (10 years later) I was at my aunt’s house and saw a book on haunted Connecticut. In there were accounts of witnesses over 60 years validating my experience at the Green Lady that Halloween night. I knew right there I didn’t want anyone to feel what I felt – being told they are crazy when they may be right.
I grew up in Southington, CT. In 1988 headlines started to appear on the Meriden Record Journal, a paper I delivered daily, about a haunted house in Southington, so horrifying that it was classified as a demonic haunting. The family moved from New York to get experimental treatment at the Southington hospital for his cancer. This was so intense John Zaffis, and the Warrens were called in to help. The story turned into a TV show on an episode of “The Haunting”, then into a movie “A Haunting In Connecticut”. That summer, I broke my arm and me and the son living at the house with cancer were at the same hospital. These stories simply horrified me, leaving me wanting to know more about the paranormal.
In 2008 I started my own paranormal investigation group, but with busy schedules it eventually fell apart.
Today I am a docent at the May-Stringer House in Brooksville, FL. It’s dubbed the most haunted house in the state of Florida. Honestly with my experiences I can validate this. In addition I am part of the P.I.O.T Paranormal Investigation team out of Spring Hill, FL.
